you know, i really should use this blog to promote things before they take place.
earlier tonight, the company i work for making jewelry with children had a fundraiser at this rad bar/restaurant, but mostly bar, the connecticut yankee ten blocks down from my house in potrero hill. beautiful patio to with face painting and jewels making, but the most important discovery for me was the patio.
silent auction with tons of luxurious stuff, a bluegrass band and beers.
my favorite image above is the bottom center: sabine convening with kat about what i only imagine is a conversation about color.
for those who care, my boss is going to the dominican republic this summer with her two eldest daughters (center right of top left) to help women learn entrepreneurial skills that empower them to establish creative businesses and a marketplace for the wares they produce. this is all through a non-profit called nest that promotes just that.
tags (aka best words used this post): eldest, entrepreneurial, elfin, my camera really sucks, y’all.
people love to rep their geographical affiliations!
so i’m making this necklace for a self-described “straight, conservative guy, 40, looking to add some “pop” to my image. I am what women would classify as boring. Actually, that would be the women who do not know me. I am fairly shy.”
i love this guy already. he sounds so earnest; he wants a conversation piece. honey, this is so completely conversation-ready. you better come up with some good answers for “1836” i told him to change his story daily!
so what size chain do y’all think fits best? (disregard color; the chain will be silver)

made a louisiana pendant necklace for my friend irene who is moving to new orleans. she asked for it aged, which isn’t hard to do with copper. i don’t know how to prematurely unleash the green, but fire sure loves to fuck with copper’s perfect red. and the green will come. it might turn black first, but that swampy humidity sure can’t hurt!
